The Scarborough Insider is a newsletter and website covering Scarborough and the North Yorkshire coast. It comes out twice a week.

Sue writes it. She lives in Scarborough, and most of what you read here starts with something she's seen, been to, or been told about in town. When there's more on than one person can get round - and along this coast there often is - she gets a hand with the listings and the legwork.

The thinking behind it is straightforward. Plenty happens here, and there's nowhere that sets it out plainly, without either burying it halfway down a page or dressing it up as something it isn't. So the job is the sifting - what's on, what's changed, what's opened, what's closed - and sending it out twice a week.
