Kaiser Chiefs Coming To Scarborough
Kaiser Chiefs play Scarborough Open Air Theatre in June 2027; tickets on Friday. Plus council housing claims rejected and a phased cliff lift reopening.
Tickets go at nine on Friday morning, and they won't hang about. Kaiser Chiefs play the Open Air Theatre on 11 June 2027, joining Simply Red and Ronan Keating on a bill that seems to fill up earlier every year. Set an alarm if you want anything decent. Tickets Here.
The council has bought eleven homes in Scarborough under its £18 million temporary housing scheme, now expanded to 112 properties across North Yorkshire. Officials have rejected claims circulating online that the houses are for asylum seekers, saying they're for families the council would otherwise be putting into bed and breakfasts.
The Spa Cliff Lift might come back in stages. Officers are seriously considering a phased reopening after August's safety shutdown, with councillors pushing for a shuttle bus until something happens. There's no timeline, and nobody has put a figure on the repairs. The thing cost about £8,000 to build in 1875.
