One Step Closer to Aldi
π The Scarborough Rundown - Events, Activities, Live Music & Good News! π

Hey Scarborough! Here's what's happening this week π
Cayton Low Road has looked the same for months now - fencing, diggers, not much else. That's about to change. Demolition at the Β£7 million Aldi site should wrap within days, which leaves just one thing standing between Eastfield and a new supermarket: a council verdict. Believe it when you see a checkout.
Over at the Spa Theatre, a rather more settled kind of nostalgia is on its way. The ABBA tribute is coming back for two hours of Mamma Mia and Waterloo on 28 August, 70s fancy dress optional. Dig the platform boots out of the loft, just in case.
If a night away sounds more appealing than an evening watching diggers, Coniston Hotel Country Estate & Spa near Skipton spans 1,400 acres of Dales countryside, with an award-winning spa and grounds built around its own private lake. Balcony rooms make the most of it.
For something further afield, Ikos Odisia sits on its own private bay in Corfu, tucked behind forest and raised above the shoreline. No itinerary required - just the view.

ποΈ Hundreds of Affordable Homes Get Green Light. A Β£3.9bn joint venture with developer Lovell will bring 548 homes to Eastfield and 60 to Sandsend Road, Whitby. Only 30 per cent will actually count as affordable.
