Del Boy Is Coming To Town
Sir David Jason brings his evening of stories to the Grand Hall at Scarborough Spa, with tickets on sale Thursday. Plus Fusion's bid to open until 3am and Whitby Town Council's £70,000 art gallery loan.
Sir David Jason is bringing his evening of stories from Only Fools and Horses, Frost and the rest to the Grand Hall at Scarborough Spa on 14 November 2027. Yes, 2027. Tickets go on sale this Thursday at 10 am, so there's plenty of time to plan the night and very little time to get a decent seat.
Fusion on St Thomas Street wants to stay open until 3 am at weekends, and councillors look at the application on Tuesday. The club is offering a noise limiter and an acoustic lobby, which tells you the neighbours have already had their say.
Whitby Town Council says its spending controls have tightened up since it borrowed £70,000 from the art gallery reserves. The money's been paid back, and the full council looks at an independent review later this month, so the paintings should be safe for now.
With the clocks going back next weekend and the afternoons drawing in, the ocean tunnel and turtle rescue centre at Sea Life Scarborough are a reliable way to fill a wet afternoon, and you can go round at whatever pace the youngest sets.
